We had a fantastic time out shooting last Wednesday with some fantastic help from Rachel, Jessie and Andrea of K Salon and Spa. Thank you so much to each of our wonderful models and stylist and each photog who showed up and brought this event to life! Keep an eye on my Facebook to see more photos as I get through the editing on them all! Also, feel free to check out my portfolio on my website!

Finals time has started to roll around at USU, so we decided to go and distract all the USU students studying in the library. We really did try to be as quite as possible, but sometimes you can't help but laugh or bang a light stand into something. Anyway, Paige and I had a great time shooting and her friend was so great to come and help out! I love the shots we got today!

By far the favorite shot of the night! Love this one!

On these two I cannot decide which I like better, the color or the black and white!

And for all my photographer friends out there, this last photo is why you have the model/subject bring a friend if possible. Laughing at a photoshoot is always the best way to have fun!

Thanks again to Paige for such a fun shoot! I hope all the USU students didn't mind too much!

I had the best time on Saturday working this this couple. They are so perfect for each other and all of us kept laughing and having a good time the whole afternoon. Everything was just perfect! (even the weather was pretty warm!). Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the day. I am so excited for their wedding! Again, Congrats J. and C.

I was told today, and agree, that a photographers number one issue is hard drive space. Seriously, I have WAY too many images on my computer. I spent six hours today going through my hard drive and removing unnecessary images to clear some space up. In that process, I found this photo and I am not sure why I never edited it up or posted it before. Anyway, here it is....

I recently purchased a very expensive item that most of you will be finding out about in a the near future and was debating selling my camera to fund this purchase. As I sat around tonight and threw the idea back and forth, I got contacted by someone willing to purchased some of my images, which made me very happy and I think I will delay any decision to sell my camera. Hopefully I continue to make some money off it and can justify keeping it, hopefully spring brings many new jobs and opportunities to me. We can hope and pray anyway.

I went out and bought a backpack a while back, one that looks just like a backpack, it even has regular pockets and pouches and zippers like a backpack. The important part is this backpack LOOKS just like a normal ol' backpack... but it's not. It's a camera bag. If you turn this backpack over you'll see that it a has this top secret little compartment for my camera. It's a camera bag. Yep, every single day, almost every where I go, I pack my DSLR around. I've gotten very very good at hiding it so it doesn't look like I have it. Bags, coats, my girlfriend's purses (haha), they all are have had my camera hidden in them. Some friends have asked why I go to such efforts to hid my camera? Well because I don't wanna look like a photo-nerd! (Na, really I'm just paranoid and if my camera got stolen my life would practically be over.)

Others ask why I actually bother to carry my DSLR everywhere.
The answer?

Because you never know when your walk to class in the morning will look COMPLETELY different and possibly photo-worthy. I'm not saying this picture is amazing. Do I like it? yes. I'll bet very few of you could guess this is 12th East right by Aggie Ice Cream. Which brings me to this:

Tip of the Day: Carry your camera everywhere. I know, sound absurd right? Honestly, 99 percent of the time it hangs out in my secret compartment Jason Bourne spy backpack. But some days, well, I'm just glad I have it's there because I look up from my walking or driving and say "gee, that's pretty"... or eerie, whichever the case may be.
