Mike Johnson Photo + Video: Engagements

4 years ago Cooper and Karlie met at the rodeo. She's from St. George. He's from Cache Valley. After a long distance relationship, Coopers LDS mission to Ghana Africa and a few more rodeos together they're getting married this August in St. George Utah. These two are perfect for each other and we had so much fun climbing rocks and hills during their engagement session (and we even found a field of wildflowers!). We'll be shooting some gorgeous bridals in a couple weeks and then a beautiful red rock wedding, so be sure to pop back for more of these hotties.

The weather lined up perfectly today! Russ and Averi and I were able to sneak in a perfect engagement shoot between rain storms. I'm in love with this shoot.

Russ and Averi met on their missions in Anaheim California and then both met again at Utah State University. August 6th will be their big day at the Salt Lake City Temple, and I'm so excited for them. They're perfect together and we had a great time hiking in the beautiful spring mountains.

Whoa guys. It's been a month. Geez. It's been a busy month but I haven't been on top of my blogging. I have to share a few from today though (as motivation to get blogging again). I teach two classes at the BATC, and for my portrait class we worked on engagements tonight. I found this two gorgeous people on Facebook and loved teaching my students about posing and working with engagement couples today. Check out a few of my favorites from the class.

Sometimes it's the middle of March in Utah and you want to pretend it's summer and warm for your engagement photos, so you drive up to Bear Lake and shoot on the beach. Totally worth drive, it looked warm and it's so calm and beautiful up this early in the year. Max and Alexis were an absolute blast to shoot with and we had a great time! Just a couple months and they'll be getting all married and that.

K & J called me up a few weeks back for an engagement shoot, and they wanted something different and fun. After a bit of talking, we decided to head out to the Salt Flats because they loved a shoot I'd done a few weeks back out there, and boy we got lucky! It was so calm and gorgeous out there last night! These two are a ton of fun and totally willing to make some killer images. I really love how they look!
